Dare to be different

A bold exhibition displaying striking art works created by rising avant-guard artist Shi Qing begins at 25000 cultural Transmission Center on May 26. The exhibition features various creations which explore the conflict between Christianity and the local culture of western China. The artist discovered the connections between hidden culture memories and personal experience. Shi made his debut in Chinese contemporary art in 1999 when he participated in the post-sensibility exhibitions that marked him as a new avant-guard artist. His creative visions spans installations, performance, phottgraphy, video and interactive multimedia art. He is skilled at integrating and applying different media to create a complicated effect to express psychological influences.
