背景

在达维会师后，二、四方面军在两河口举行会议，分歧没有解决，反而更深。造成了分裂。红军此后转战在藏区，在几场极严酷的战斗中损失残重。张国焘和四方面军在中央红军去陕北后还在此地盘桓了很久，最终还是去了延安，长征终于结束。

不久前，两河口的村民自发募捐塑了个巨大的毛主席像，白色的塑像在高原上显得格外突出，

他们意在纪念毛和那代真正为人民服务的共产党人，以表达对现任本地官员们的浪费和贪婪的不满。

卓克基是阿坝藏族自治州首府马尔康附近的一个村落，1935年6月30日,中央红军过第二座雪山,1935年7月1日到达卓克基, 1935年7月3日在卓克基举行会议,发布‘告康藏西番民众书’ - 进行西藏民族革命运动的斗争纲领。 要求藏族反英、反军阀,实行民族自决。 1935日7月10日中央红军到黑水,1935年7月28日到达毛儿盖。
