Biographies
Iain Mott is a sound artist from Melbourne whose work focuses
on interactive installation. He has exhibited nationally in Australia
and at shows such as the Ars Electronica Festival in Austria,
Dashanzi International Art Festival and MAAP in China and Emo??o
Art.ficial in Brazil. His installations are characterised by high
levels of audience participation and novel approaches to interactivity.
The notion of collaboration between artist and audience has ongoing
importance in Iain's work. His current interest is in works where
audience engagement has lasting impact-works that undergo evolutionary
change through the creative engagement of many individuals. For

Ding Jie
Beijing is a female artist living and working in Beijing. After
completing her masters at the Qinghua Art Academy in 2003, she
has continuously been working within the field of contemporary
art. Her practice involves audience participation and interaction,
for example, her "Lugu Lake Region Vegetation Ecology Plan"
allowed villagers to continue with the planting process. She has
also organized and participated in several exhibitions including
organizing "Scarify - China Modern Independent Image Exhibition",
"New Years at Ding Ding's House" in 2005, and the "Second
Triennale of Chinese Art" in Nanjing 2005. For more information,
