Waerzebu
June
22, 2004 the initiator of the Qiang ethnicity
culture walking across China Waerzebu arrived
at the Long March space, presenting a ceremonial
silk banner to Lu Jie. On it was written, ¡°In
appreciation of the support the 25000 Cultural
Transmission Center has given to the Qiang culture.¡±
Waerzebu has been independently walking across
China for years; traveling and displaying Qiang
culture. His self sponsored travels are intended
to introduce Qiang culture to China. His traveling
pack contains ideals, works, and plans. This
twenty kilogram pack has traveled the corners
of the earth with him, containing materials
introducing all sorts of images of Qiang culture,
writing, customs, history, and geography. Lu
Jie not only declared Waerzebu a Qiang Long
Marcher, he also suggested that Waerzebu research
the connection between the war and Qiang cultural
history. As with when the Red Army was on the
Long March, both Lu Jie and Waerzebu planned
to research the great history of Qiang region.
