About the Exhibition:

From February 9 - March 10, 2005, the 25000 Cultural Transmission Center will become a simulated "house," that of Ding Ding. In Ding Ding's living room one will find, plastered on the walls Ding Ding's narcissistic pictures juxtaposed next to pictures taken from the "real" life of Ding Ding, balloons, house plants, and unique ornamental lamps scattered throughout, and a table adorned with a special cake in the shape of Ding Ding that you can partake of (for closing reception only). The study is filled with picture albums, small novelty works, books, piles of scrap paper, and uncompleted work scattered on the worktable. In the bedroom one finds, a doll resting on the bed, and cosmetic supplies. In the bathroom, emotive with the things that one sees when using the toilet, is the site where friends who stop by to visit can dress up, apply make up, and make things. So come along, this exhibition is moving, interactive, and participatory. One the first day, the pictures on the walls are those Ding Ding has taken of herself. With the photos taken from participating audience members who dress up and leave an image, the wall will slowly be covered, so that when the closing reception is held, it will be completely full.
